Dan Allen started firespitting with a lighter and Bicardi 151 on his back porch. Firespitting was a bit of a parlor trick. Soon his friends got interested and wanted to try it all out. So he did some research, on fuels, torches, fire in general, and a bit of chemistry. He started teaching his friends and moving on to different effects and techniques so as to teach more.
